My name is Avery Henderson, and I’m currently living in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I recently completed my undergraduate degree coming out with an HBSc. majoring in Geology, and hope to continue my studies in geology with an MSc…. somewhere… someday.
In the meantime, I find myself enthralled in science, from the basic stuff, like wondering what makes my car crap out on the road, to the biggest scientific developments that I read about going on around the world, such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Europe. What excites me even more than science, is the thought of what science can still do for the advancement of our civilization, our planet, and our own simple pursuit of knowledge. I hope anybody who reads this blog has just as many equally curious insights as I do, and I definitely hope you share them here!

funny… this is first time i’ve EVER replied to a blog. actually, this is the first time i’ve ever read anyone’s blog…. past the first paragraph.
however, fact being you’ve written about black holes, a love/hate relationship with math and the zombie research society in the same (figurative) breath- i found that both impressive and amusing.
my opinion will do little for your practical life, but i’m sharing it with you anyways.
-jill! (and i plan to make people pronounce it that way, too. no, wait, they already do. except, for some reason, its always preceded by goddammit)
Well holy crap, your comment actually made my day. But seeing as my practical life is a little dull right now (I’m way up north with soon-to-be cut internet access… this place is a dive), it’s to be expected. But really, with so few comments on here, I appreciate your opinion more than you know! So thanks again, and I hope you keep reading!
